Light Rail (UK) would, however, like to recommend some specific interventions to the transport infrastructure around Newport to address the issues arising from the Welsh Government decision not to proceed with the proposed M4 Relief Road around Newport. We would like to propose and alternative mode which has a high modal switch with benefits understood with the Welsh Government light rail programme. T48 Newport - Cardiff
